THE ABOUT LIVING JOURNEY STARTED IN 2006 WHEN OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR GARY HOGAN FOUND A DEFICIENCY IN THE WEST OF SCOTLAND'S MARKET FOR A CURATE RANGE OF INSPIRED HOMEWARE & GIFTS.

October 2006 saw the opening of the first store. The website is undergoing its most significant makeover to date, nearly 16 years later, with the intro of more than 40 new brands and categories, consisting of furniture, lighting, and upscale pet dog accessories.

Gary began his career in retail after working behind the scenes in movies and television. Given that he was increased in a household business, it was just a matter of time till he decided to follow in his daddy's steps and open his very own company. Gary continues to lead the company's acquiring division with an eagle eye for the latest styles and items.

The brands that About Living carries is always expanding, and we are thrilled to welcome some new brands to the family, such as Baobab Collection, Blomus, Jonathan Adler, Menu, Noble Isle, Indigenous Union, and Ortigia Sicilia.

OUR PURPOSE

Our goal is to provide our clients with an exquisitely curated assortment of gifts and home decor from leading designers in a single retail location. A selection of the products we have available on our on the internet shop are displayed in our boutique store situated on Glasgow's Southside.

OUR SOURCED DESIGN
We draw inspiration from emerging global interior and gift concepts. We are always investigating emerging trends that emerge from the most recent interior design shows and fashion runways. Our buyers trip across the globe to source our current collections and cultivate connections with our brand associates. This season's botanical themes, which combine exotic succulents with brilliant colours, and the understated style of marble and stone indoor accents are both very interesting us.
